Yes, it was fantastic. It remains to be seen if the men’s and women’s finals can match the fabulous semi-final matches this year. All of them, with both genders, were tough, hard-fought, close matches.
I must admit that I was rooting for Andy Murray, though. He’s been playing really well lately, and I hoped that it was his time to finally win his first major.
I’ll also admit that I’ll be rooting for Maria Sharapova tomorrow. But I’m not at all sure I can stand to watch that match, since she and Victoria Azarenka are the worst two screamers in tennis. Still, great tennis is a joy to see. The best pro’s pull off amazing feats with their rackets; things that I, as an amateur, can’t even imagine doing.
